Hey... thanks for stopping by the website today. If you are reading this in another part of the country or a different part of the world, stop in the "Forum" and say "Hey" or hit the "Contact" button and send us an email, okay?
I woke up this morning feeling really good... good about alot of things. Y'know, I'm sooooo makin' this life up as I go along. It's really very cool. There's one thing I've learned how to do, though. (I mean it takes practice, and I'll never get it completely down.) But, I learn a little more every day to really listen to that Little Voice that speaks from the heart and doesn't lie to me. That's where Love comes from. That's where Love lives. (Fear always seems to rent space in my head.)
Interesting thing... fear.
In my life it shows itself in the most insidious ways. Ego. Anger. Doubt. Annoyance... and, lots of really subtle and sneaky ways, too. The answer to all of that for me is... well, I know what the answer to all of that is for me. But, those answers only come in the one-person-size.
Anyway... THIS WEEKEND!
Okay, all weather-permitting, of course. But, Dodger Bartlett and I will be in The Village as part of the "Sunset Concert Series" on Pier 45 tomorrow night. (Friday) That's in Hudson River Park, at the end of Christopher Street.
Then, on Saturday I'm gonna be playing in New Jers... no, just kidding. Saturday, I'll be at "The Hill" in Central Park like I've been every weekend for the past 14 years, now.

"The Hill" in Central Park
Can't wait to get a guitar on my shoulder and hang out with all of you again this weekend. I'm a very lucky man. This weekend, I'm gonna take a run at some of the songs I wrote a while ago that I haven't been playing lately. And maybe a bunch of different cover tunes, too. We might also have a few very special guests. (Tell you about that in a minute.)
Then on Sunday, I'll be in Riverside Park, at the new secret location. (It's like the secret location of the perfect diner. If you were at the gig in Riverside last weekend, you know what I'm talkin' about. ssshhhh) No, again... just kidding. This Sunday I'm gonna be playing at the same spot by the river, just north of the 79th Street Boat Basin.
Cool?
Hey, but on Saturday in Central Park, it looks like we're gonna have a few special guests join us. The woman I've been writing about, Elissa Montanti (That remarkable woman who is one of the people my friends and I are gonna do a benefit concert for in January.) ...is coming out to Central Park. She's the one who is spear-heading an effort to help the civilians and innocent people, especially the children, who are being so badly hurt in this nightmare in Iraq.

Elissa Montanti
She is bringing the kids she is helping who were so badly hurt in the tsunami disaster. Remember Tara and Hamdani?
. .
Well... thanks to Elissa and the people around her...

... these are the two kids who wanna come out to "The Hill" this Saturday!

This is the stuff of life. THIS is what this concert in January will be all about. I'll let you know more as it develops, okay? But, maybe I'll see you in Central Park this weekend and I'll have a little more to tell you.
If you wanna get your heart around the spirit of the thing, here's a link to a recent update. Go ahead and click on this link for the update from July 27th. And, then come back and go ahead and click on this link, too.

Anyway, listen... I've got a slammin' busy day today, but it's all good stuff. Maybe I'll stop back here this afternoon.
Thanks again.
