Did you guys have a good weekend?
"Thank you" to everyone who showed up in Central Park on Saturday. It was a golden day... did you feel it? A lot of really cool people on "The Hill" all afternoon. A lot of good, good feeling.

(This week, I might try to find out about the "political piece" the camera man from NBC said he was shooting out there. If I do, I'll let you know what it's about and when it's gonna air.)
But besides that, just another great day. Sorry about the rainout in Riverside Park yesterday. I missed hangin' with you at the "Storyteller's Hill". Hope the weather cooperates next weekend.
Oh listen...
TONIGHT!!! Here's something that's really cool... and it's FREE!
Make a decision right now that you are gonna come down and check out the SGA Songwriters Circle at the Red Lion tonight. Bring a couple of friends, or come by yourself. It's one of those little "New York Secrets" I'm always talkin' about. It starts at 7:00 pm and it ends at 9:00... so, it's kind of an early evening. And, it's really cool. I get to share a stage with some of the most innovative, funny and poignant songwriters around. I mean it. I always feel so lucky to be on a stage with these guys. And, we almost always wind up laughing as much as anything else.
.
The Red Lion is at Bleecker and Thompson in The Village. Really easy to get to. And, like I said... it's free.
Okay... what's up for today.
Well, I'd actually love it if you took a couple of minutes to click on this logo and check out the "What's New" section and the "Concert" section at the...

...website.
And, then if you're not doin' anything else to make the world a better place today, you might wanna throw a few bucks at this effort and be a part of it. (You're name gets listed as a producer of the VOICES TOGETHER CONCERT when you help us get the show on it's feet.) It'll feel good, too. This is a very worthwhile and good thing to do. There are ordinary people in Iraq, mothers and children, fathers and sons... civilian families who are suffering terribly in the midst of the violence and fear...and, they need our help right now! They are taking the brunt of this war and they are being ignored by most of our government and the American "news" media. They are hurting and they need help... period.
You'll see all about it at the VOICES TOGETHER site. And, in the coming weeks I'll certainly be keeping you all up-to-date here at the "Guitar Man" site.
Y'know what?
I'll probably tell you some news that's happening around this concert at the "Circle" tonight. Hope you can make it.
If you are new at this website... go ahead and jump in the "Forum" (message board) and say "Hi" if you feel like it. (I might stop in there later.) You can also look through the "Archives" to see what we've been up to around here. And, if you want to email me personally about anything, just hit the "Contact" button, okay?
I'm gonna jump into the "Forum" today and post something in the "Iraq...Comments" thread... something I think you might find kind of interesting.
There have been people comparing this nightmare in Iraq to another nightmare this country lived decades ago in Viet Nam. Of course, people who blindly supported this war don't wanna hear that. But.. y'know... I wasn't so quick to make superficial comparisons without some real thought, reason and a little research. I came up with something that might... well... take a look in the "Forum" today and take a look at something I came up with.
And, hey! Maybe I'll see you at the Red Lion tonight.
Maybe we'll dedicate a song to the new 007 of the evangelicals... Mr. Pat Robertson.
And, if you see me on the streets of Manhattan today... say Hi!
Thanks again.
