Well, thanks for another great weekend. It was wonderful on so many levels... Saturday and Sunday!
Yesterday in Riverside Park, there were just a handful of us hangin' out by the river. But, it was one of those days that felt special. I really love sharing stories about some of the songs I've written with you guys. I love taking a run at other people's songs that I wish I'd written... and, talkin' about them a little, also. I don't know... just a special kinda feeling... a really good, good day for me.
And, that was on the heels of Saturday... the day that Tara and Hamdani came to Central Park for the first time with Elissa Montanti. (Did you guys see her on TODAY in New York [NBC] this morning? Great piece!) Thanks to every single person who showed up out there. The kids had a great time. I think they, and their families, were kind of surprised to see that many people who don't know each other... singing. (And by the way, our friend from "The Hill", Sue Hannah, sent these pictures to the website from this past weekend. There's another guy named Sean who's also sending in really great shots from these weekends in New York City. What can I say? It's the digital age and these are really great people.)
Very cool.

I really hafta run today. Got some meetings for the benefit concert we're planning to help the innocent, civilian people who are being so badly hurt in this nightmare of a war in Iraq. So I'll leave this update with a few images from Saturday, okay? If you're new here, take a look through the "Archives" at some recent updates. There you will fnd out about the VOICES TOGETHER concert we're planning for January, okay? People read this website form all across the country and diffeent parts of the world, and we're going to be asking for help from everybody. It's worth it.
Y'know... I recently jumped into the "Forum" (message boards) again because there were some things being said in there that were so bellicose, angry... and, some that were just plain laughable and ridiculous, that I had to say something. But, let me say this here on the homepage.
Yeah... some people just don't "get it" and probably never will, not in this lifetime anyway. I keep them in my thoughts. That's cool. I'm soooo lucky. The people I call my friends do get it... and...
"I Love the Company"

See you guys tomorrow.
