Hey, thanks for stopping by today.

So sorry for the reeealllllly late update. (I had a little family crisis to deal with. Man! I got a bunch of sisters! But, they are all gems... great people. And, one of them is going through something a little rough right now and kinda needs a hand.)

Anyway, if you're reading this in a another part of the country or a different part of the world... welcome to New York City for a few minutes.

If you live here in town and you were wondering if this was gonna be the first Sunday for music in Riverside Park.... I'm sorry. Never heard back from the people I need to hear from. So... not today, okay?

I think it'll be a very cool thing if and when we get it started. There's a great spot... a "natural amphitheater of a hill", like the one in Central Park, right around 104th Street near the river. It'd be a great place for an afternoon concert.

We'll see.

Keep checking back okay? Again... sorry.

Hey thanks for hangin' out with me yesterday in Central Park. Outside of a drunken George Washington crossing the Delaware, it was a great day! If you were interviewed by Ms. Agnes Chu for the documentary film they're doing about the concerts out there, I hope you had fun. I'm sure it will be a while, but I'll let you know what they're gonna do with that film and how you can see it. (It's a big project, so it won't be for some time, I'm thinking.)

Listen.. again... I've kinda gotta run right now, so this is not the usual kind of update we do here.

Check back again tomorrow morning and we'll start havin' some fun again, okay?

But, remember, tomorrow night (Monday night) is the SGA Songwriters Circle. And this week, I'm pretty sure that George Wurzbach is back in town. (Remember George? My guest at the last concert in Merkin Hall?) Those things at the Red Lion, on Bleecker Street in the Village, are like one of New York's great little secrets. The songwriters that I get to share the stage with are some of the most amazing artists and actually some of the funniest guys I've ever worked with. Really very cool.

If you're new here... again, sorry abut the short update. Take a look through the "Archives" why doncha!

Or, stop in the "Forum" and hang with the people in there. People hit this site from all across the country and around the world. Go say "Hi".

Oh, again... here's something. Along with some good friends of mine, I'm working on putting together a very special benefit concert this winter. I'll be talking about it more as the project develops. But, if you wanna get an idea about what's going on...

...click on this link to kinda catch up.

And, if you'd like an update on the war in Iraq, you can always go to the "Forum" here on this website. I will continue to honor the sacrifices being made over there by letting you, at least, know about them. Since the news media and the people in Washington have done their level best to ignore most of the reality of this nightmare/war, I thought it would be important to post something... somewhere ...about what's going on over there everyday.

Anyway... hope I see you soon.

Wherever you are today, whatever you're doing... make it a wonderful day, okay. Maybe make a sweet memory for yourself, today. It's the only June 26, 2005 we'll ever see!

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
