Wow... what a dreary lookin' day, here in New York City.

Y'know what? On a miserable lookin' day like this? Try to do something a little different today. Have that extra piece of cake. Buy that stupid, mindless magazine you've been resisiting. Call that old friend you've been thinking about. Clean up that room... organize that drawer. Do something nice for someone and don't get caught.

Do something a little different today.

(Just so you know... I always hope I take my own suggestion when I write this stuff!)

Anyway, listen... I will be back later to update this page again today. Right now, I hafta run out to an early audition for something. But, when I come back I will hopefully have a definite answer on the "Sunday" afternoon concerts in Riverside Park. (This Sunday might be the first.) In the meantime... if you're planning to stay in town this holiday weekend, I hope you ccan spend a little time with me... somewhere at one of the places I play around town. (I might even be doing a gig on Monday, July 4th)

But, as always, weather permitting, on Saturday I'll be at "The Hill" in Central Park!

Also... hey, right now... if you are new here, THANKS for stopping by. Take a look around. Take a look through the "Archives" and through the "Forum". Jump in and say "Hi". If you are reading this in another part of the country or a different part of the world like a bunch of people, let us know where you are.

Oh yeah... here's some news.

Soon, the webmaster of this site, James Marino, is gonna create a website for the benefit concert we're planning to help the innocent civilians whose lives are being torn apart in Iraq. (We really just wanna do some real GOOD there.) But, that concert is totally non-political... it's sole purpose will be to help the people who need help. These people need real help... period! Y'know, I have my feelings and thoughts. We all view world events in our own way. But, this effort is going to be soley about reaching out and helping the injured people... the orphaned children... those with broken bodies and broken lives... those who are sufffering so horribly... today... RIGHT NOW.

So, y'know... I'll keep writing whatever I feel here on this website. And, you are all welcome to write whatever you feel in the "Forum" (message board) But, soon I will be directing you all to another site for updates on the progress we're making in regard to this important benefit concert... and, on ways you can help, too.

Um... here on this site, tomorrow oughta be an interesting update so you might wanna check back in. I can't wait to hear George W. Bush's "speech writer's" assessment of how the war in Iraq is going. I say "his speech writers" because the more I hear the unfortunate man speak and "dis-assemble" in public, the more I'm convinced he truly is a simple and completely insincere dolt. (For me, it's actually globally embarrassing.) But, my guess is that in this speech tonight his writers are going to try to paint a picture somewhere between the very best face our military leaders are putting on the current nightmare we've created over there... and the ridiculous assessments that have been coming out of the side of Dick Cheney's twisted mouth.

We'll see.

"Rose-Colored Glasses", indeed.

I'll be back later.

Hey, again... whatever you're doing today, on this dreary lookin' day... hope you make it a really good one in some way.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
