Well... the weather is looking great for another afternoon of music in Central Park this Saturday. (Yeah, I know it's only Wednesday, but it's lookin' good.) I'll be out there from around noon 'til... y'know... 5:00 or 5:30.

Listen, this week that other film crew from the west coast will be shooting a documentary out there. I think they're gonna come over to my apartment for an interview first, and then head on out to "The Hill" with me. So, again... if you all wanna be in a movie, plan on coming out to Central Park this Saturday. Oughta be fun.

As soon as I find out what that film that was shooting last Saturday was all about, what they're using it for, release date, title all that stuff... I'll let you guys know.

The BIG news for me today is that... I've decided.

I had a good, good meeting with Dennis Riley and "Meemsy" (Gordon's Mom) from the message board last night. I'll be speaking with James Marino today. Sid Bernstein is, of course, on board. So, we are definitely gonna go ahead with some kind of musical project to help the civilian men, women and children in Iraq that are being caught in the crossfire of the nightmare we started over there. These people's lives are being destroyed every day... wounded horribly, children being terribly hurt and orphaned and left alone... every day. We may do it in conjunction with CIVIC, the organization that Marla Ruzicka started. (If you don't know who she is or what that is, click here:

Past update about Marla Ruzicka!

I'll let you know more about this concert as it takes shape. Might be something huge. Might be something small, with a CD attached that we can sell to raise money to help these people our military and government are ignoring... not even counting. Might be a concert around October that we can make a DVD out of. I have no idea, yet. But, we are going to do something! I'll let you know. And if you wanna help... I'll definitely let you know!

Today I'm running a few more new cover tunes. There's an old Springsteen song that I recently fell in love with again. So, who knows... depending on how it goes today, maybe I'll bring it out to "The Hill" this weekend.

Also... I'm kicking the idea around of recording an acoustic, "unplugged" CD with a bunch of the newer songs on it... y'know, the songs I've written over the winter and have played at Merkin Concert Hall and CAMI Hall. Then down the road, after we've gone into the studio and actually done the next produced CD, maybe we could include the rougher versions as a kind of bonus. I don;t know. Just an idea. It would give me a way to bring some of the new songs out to the gigs and you guys could take them home with you.

Listen... I'm gonna be jumping into the "Forum" (message board) later to update the "News from Iraq". (If you wanna know who's going to show up at the Michael Jackson trial, turn on any of the major news outlets on TV.) But, I'll be in the"Forum". By the way, a big "thank you" to all of you who also contribute to that thread, as well as the "Reactions and Comments" thread. It lets me know that there are people out there who are aware and who are at least thinking about things.

But, don't let that stop the fun either... you guys can go in there to talk about whatever you want as well... music, Love, sex, movies, world events. Balance, baby, balance. You can meet each other... I mean, people come to this website from all over the country and around the world. Go on in there and say "Hi".

Anyway... thanks for stopping by today.

Oh, listen... if you know someone who you think miught get something out of this website or enjoy it, would pass the link along to them and tell them to check back every day, too.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
