I know there are people that stop in here at this website from all across the country and around the world.... thanks for being here.

But, I hope that all of you who live here in New York City with me can find ways to enjoy this beautful, rainy, October day.

(Okay, okay it's May 25th. So, that's a little problem for a guy who plays music outdoors most of the time. But, I have a good feeling about this coming weekend.) Anyway, this town is beautiful in the rain, too.

Listen, if you were in Central Park last Saturday and you saw the documentary film crew out there doing the piece on my music... here's some news. They want you to come back. Y'see, they started to interview people out there last week, to see what you had to say. And, the director told me you guys were great, but they ran out of time. They wanna get more. So, head out to "The Hill" this Saturday and get your ass in a movie!

Today's one of those days for "inside" work. Practical... Creative... Spiritual... and yeah, I cleaned the bathroom.

Oh yeah... turned on the news today. CNN, MSNBC, even checked in at FOX (But, only until I started to gag.)

Yep... she's baaaaack. The "Runaway Bride". That unfortunate, unbalanced woman in Georgia who captured the news media in the entire western world. (Not that anybody else really gave a shit.) But, yeah, they're actually running stories on her again. I just can't believe what the televsion news agency find important these days.

Isn't the television "news" media in the country grand... covering these stories for us. Well, they've certainly inspired me. For those of you who missed it, this is going to be my new look for this summer.

No, actually... I'm going to spend this summer working toward a benefit concert for something other than the U.B.F.
(Unbalanced Bride Fund)

Y'know, this decision I made to go ahead with a concert to help the ordinary people in Iraq who are getting their asses kicked everyday... having their lives destroyed... everyday... has got me thinking about a new song to write. I mean, I think the all of the good, good friends and colleagues who are gonna work on this benefit project with me all agree to the concept of the gig...

"Ordinary People... Helping Ordinary People."

I just think there is a song in there somewhere that wants to be written.

If you don't know what I'm talking about (and, you are a thinking, feeling human being) click on this link...

EVERYTHING YOU WANNA KNOW ABOUT THE CONCERT...

...so far.

So far, I'm really jazzed by the response I'm getting from nearly every one of the artists, professionals and friends I'm sharing this idea with. Next Monday, I'm going to meet with a wonderful guy who runs the BEST concert venue and production facility in New York City... to get his thoughts, advice and expertise. My buddy Dennis Riley is helping put the proposal together and all the initial grunt work. But, we're both working with a woman named Mimi Evans who, so far, is a juggernaut... such an enthusiatic positive energy. When we pull this off, it will be because of her spirit and commitment. (Well, she has one son who is in the military right now, and one son who just spent a year in Iraq as a civilian, and months in Afghanistan, helping ordinary people.)

Anyway, in the coming days and weeks I'm probably gonna be asking for help and advice from all of you, too... ordinary people who wanna help do something extraordinary.

Look, it's a rainy day. Maybe I'll see you later in the "Forum" (message board).

Gotta run right now. Got work to do. If you're new here, take a look around. Check out the "Archives" to see what we've been up to. Jump in the "Forum" and say "Hi". Talk about whatever you want... music, Love, sex, world events, politics, movies... whatever.

Keep your fingers crossed for the weather this Saturday.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
