I hope you all had a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by.

I know there are alot of you reading this in another part of the country or another part of the world. Welcome...

If you live in New York City and were hoping to get out to Central Park for a little music this past weekend... sorry. The weather was just a little too windy and raw. It's okay. I have a good feeling about next weekend. Got a feeling the season will get underway on Saturday.

Hey listen, if you're new here, you can go back through the "Archives" and see what we've been up to. Yesterday, thanks to the American "news" media and that unfortunate woman in Georgia, I introduced my NEW LOOK for the summer.

Y'see, I wanna make this website a place that you'll bookmark as one of your favorites so you can stop by every day. It'd be great if you guys would all stop in the "Forum" (message board) this summer and get to know each other. Y'know... talk about whatever you want in there... music, movies, sex, Love, dating, politics. I'm going to be updating the News from Iraq every day if I can. (I also appreciate the others who are contributing to that thread as well.)

It's important.

We're gonna have a lot of fun this summer. I can feel it. I'm gonna try to get together sometime soon with that guy from "The Hill", Dave Marcus, and maybe run a few new songs for him to sing harmony on. I've written a couple of new songs over the winter that I think he'd sound great on. Dodger (Roger Bartlett) and I are also gonna start the "Sunset Concert Series" at the Christopher Street Pier in the Village soon... Friday night, June 10th. It'll be cool when that starts.

Hey listen... I know I've been a little tough on the right-wing conservatives in the past two years... y'know, about little things, like their inherent closed-mindeness and aversion to the Truth, avoidance of reality, and basic lack of reason. (Well, primarily for voting for an idiot who fronts an insidious machine that took a nation to war under false pretenses and are now ignoring the carnage and suffering that has resulted from it.) BUT, I'm encouraged in recent weeks by events that show that they may at least be softening up on the "gay" issue. (Y'know, I know it's hard for neo-cons and people on the religious right to comprehend, but some of my friends who happen to be gay are among the most decent, caring, kind and courageous human beings I've ever had the fortune to meet.)

That's why it was wonderful to see this...

But this is even more encouraging...

Ahhhh... the impulsive first kiss! International love.

NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT!

(Thank you, Seinfeld.)

Listen, gotta get back to work. I'm probably gonna stop into the "Forum" a little later today. Maybe I'll see you in there. Hope I get to see you in Central Park this Saturday.

"I Love the Company"

Oh hey, also... if you like stopping by this website, would you send the web address to a couple of friends today and ask them to stop by once in a while. It's kinda up to you to spread the word and expand this little community. We'll be adding hundreds and hundreds of new friends once the season begins in Central Park. But, it'd be great if you guys could also send the link around.

Cool?

Thanks again.

All outdoor events are weather permitting! Stop by the website before you go if it is questionable.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
