Thanks so much for stopping by this website today.

Well, I've got a busy day.

Remember Gordon... our friend, and kind of voluntary correspondent in Iraq and Afghanistan who sent us those wonderful letters and photos? I'm gonna finally meet him today. He's in New York. He and I, and Meemsy from the message board (Gordon's mom), are gonna do a diner-run. I'm sure we'll talk about many things. Stop back tomorrow and I'll tell you what went on.

Also... I recorded a rough mix of "Reality TV". Today, I'm gonna burn a handful of single CDs and bring them to the next gig in Central Park. Maybe we'll do some kind of give-away with them.

Huh... "Reality" TV.

Anyway, I don't know. I'm also thinking about recording a CD with acousitic "unplugged" versions of many of the newer songs from the past year, and selling it this Summer. Y'know? Until we can afford to go into the studio and produce some of these tunes.

I WAS YOU
I LOVE THE COMPANY
YOU DON'T KNOW
JESUSLAND (satire)
INTERNET ANGEL
REALITY TV

...and a few new songs I'm working on, now.

Maybe, when I do the next produced CD, we'll include some of these rough tracks as an interesting little bonus. Just a thought....

And, a few years back, I wrote a script for a made-for-TV movie that turned into a musical piece, co-written with two real pros, composer David Friedman and lyricist Hal Hackady. I'm gonna put together a pitch for that script again today and get it into the hands of some people who might be able to do something with it.

Oh, listen... I'm not gonna talk too much about the "Benefit Concert" idea until a little more materializes. I've got a lot of people to talk to about this project. But, you can always go into the "Archives" and read about the idea. (Yesterday's update, May 16) I would really like to do something meaningful and significant to help those women and children. Maybe we can do it together.

I know there are people reading this all over the country and all over the world. I got a nice email yesterday from somene in the UK who would actually like to help with this "concert" idea. So, listen... wherever you live... New York City or someplace else... you can always jump in the "Forum" (message board) and say "Hi". You can also talk about anything you want in there. (Personally, I've been using it to update a section on "News from Iraq". But, that's a commitment I made to myself last year.) You can write about whatever you want.

Okay... but today, in the "Forum" I also hafta talk about something that has got me sooooo scratching my head. I've been completely baffled by the lack of reason from anyone who could have supported this stupid man in the Oval Office, his administration and it's unconscionable, arrogant, duplicitous and wholly unAmerican march to WAR in Iraq. But this is, once again... like "Alice in Wonderland". I'll see you in the "Iraq Comments" thread.

I also wanna invite you to contribute to the "Favorite Lyrics" thread and the "Song Suggestions" thread. I'm actually running a classic Springsteen tune this week to bring to the park, and I'm always open to suggestions for other cover tunes to play. And, you can always start your own topic of discussion!

I'll see you in the "Forum" later.

Oh, and hey... if you know a friend who might enjoy checking in here at this website everyday, forward the link along to them. Maybe it'll give you a place to meet, and start discussing things... music, Love, sex, the war, Truth, art, world events, ideas... y'know... Life.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
