Spring...

Yeah, very cool.

Y'know, I recently got an email from a guy who said he had been coming to the Hudson River Park "Sunset Concerts", but that he eventually found out about "The Hill" in Central Park... a really cool guy named David. He told me he had an extra ticket to the Yankees - Red Sox game up at the stadium yesterday, and said he knew from the website that I was a Yankees fan. Out of the blue, he asked if I'd like to go to the game.

Very cool!! I love this kinda shit... I didn't know this guy from a hole in the wall. Never met. Just know we must dig the same kind of music and the Yankees.

Man! Beautiful day! Great conversation! Great game! And then, after Boston's Jason Varitek homers off Mariano Rivera to tie the game in the top of the ninth, Derek Jeter hits a game winning, walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth.

Ah, Spring.

Anyway... just chalk it up to feeling like the luckiest man alive for being able to do what I do for a living. I meet the greatest people. What a day!

Really, reeealllly looking forward to the next concert at CAMI HALL. Are you guys psyched to be in that hall together... hangin' out... singin'. Remember, it's a Friday night, so make plans with your friends to make a night of it. The tickets have begun selling, so if you feel like making absolutely sure you don't get sold out, you can just click on that button over there that says "Add to Cart" and your name will be placed on the list that they keep at the door. The night of the show, just walk up and say your name. (It's general admission seating.) But, chances are pretty good you'll just be able to walk up and get tickets that night, too. (Keep checking back here, though.)

Oh, oh, oh... before I forget! Be sure to check in the "Forum" for the late-braking news on the Pope's condition! and, be sure to dowmoad your FREE copy of "JesusLand".

Here.

MP3 of Jesusland! Click to download or play.

I would still like all of America to have this song for FREE! Give a listen, and if you feel like it, you can download it for yourself and pass it on to all your friends. Have FUN with it!

By the way... again... there was a little confusion about the tickets for CAMI last time. There are no physical tickets... just a list at the door. Columbia Artists (CAMI) Hall, right across the street from Carnegie Hall, on West 57th Street is a great, old concert venue, nearly 100 years old. I hope you can grab a bunch of friends and find your way there in about 2 weeks. If you wanna start reserving seats, (There are only 200 seats in CAMI.) ...you can do it by just clicking on that button over there under the poster that says "Add to Cart". Just follow the instructions, and your name will be put on this list that they keep at the door. All you gotta do that night is walk up and say your name.

Cool?

Anyway... I may be back here to update this thing in a little while. Gotta run right now.

And, remember.... if you're not getting enough coverage of the Pope's... um... y'know... being dead... be sure to visit the Forum and click on "LATEBREAKING POPE NEWS".

See you later.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
