Gettin' itchy for the Spring and music in the Park?

Yeah, I know.

It's over 60 degrees and you go out to "The Hill" and I'm not there.

Sorry. That fence is still up, so it's gonna be at least another week before the outdoor season gets going. But, I've got nothin' but good news!

This coming FRIDAY NIGHT!

I'm tellin' you, it's gonna be a fun night! I'm gonna share a stage with my good friend and partner, Roger Bartlett, at Columbia Artists (CAMI) Hall, on West 57th Street. YOU are welcome to join us there. We'll kick off a new Spring season and... who knows? The energy in that room might just bring that fence down.

Make plans right this minute to show up. It's gonna be a special night, I can feel it already. If you ever been to one of these indoor gigs, you know what I'm talkin' about.

Then, I promise... I'll get out to Central Park soon.

I've written some new songs over the winter. And, I've decided to do a few more cover tunes that were done by some female artists. I think you're gonna be surprised at some of the stuff I've come up with. (I'll probably do a couple this Friday night at CAMI.)

So, listen... get out there today. Get out into the City... get out to the park... go to SoHo and hit some flea markets and do some outdoor shopping. Sit in an outdoor cafe and watch the world go by. Really enjoy this Spring day.

BUT... call a few friends and tell them that this coming Friday night, you're all gonna meet after work and come to the concert at CAMI HALL to launch the summer, okay? It's a Friday night, so you guys can all go out afterwards, maybe. Y'know... go into the message boards (Forum) and pick a local place to hang out after the show. Meet up.

I know alot of people are reading this in another part of the country or another part of the world. But, if you live in or around New York, try to get to CAMI HALL.

Like I said, it's on West 57th Street, right across the street from Carnegie Hall. YES! I still think you'll probably be able to walk right up and get tickets the night of the show. But, just keep checking back here to see if it's getting close to selling out, okay? You can also reserve a place, right now if you want, by putting your name on the list that they keep at the door. (CAMI only seats 200 people.) All you hafta do is click on that thing over there on the right, under the poster that says "Add to Cart". Then, walk up the night of the concert and say your name at the door. Call a friend and make plans to hang out with us. Kickoff the new spring season. Tickets are starting to sell faster today.

So, let's hang together this Friday night.

And, listen...

...we'll get out to the park soon enough!

I gotta run down to Dodger's studio today to kick around some songs. Maybe I'll see you in the "Forum" (message board) a little later. Oh yeah, there's a topic in there about crushes you might have had over the years on "the Hill". Go have fun! Maybe that someone will be at the concert on Friday!

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
