Another beautiful spring day in New York City... you guys gettin' in the mood?

Got a question... how many of you have gone out to "The Hill" in the summer, either alone or with a few friends and looked around and got one of those "hill crushes". Y'know, that guy or woman that you would see out there once in a while, or regularly... reading a book or just hangin' out listening to the music... and, you got that crush and never had the nerve to say "hi".

Change that this year, okay?

Just say "Hi".

Hey, listen... we have an indoor concert in one week at Columbia Artists (CAMI) Hall. Maybe if you come to that concert, that face from last summer will be there, too. It'll give you something to talk about the next time you see them in Central Park.

"Hi. Hey, weren't you at the CAMI HALL concert in April?"

It looks like it's gonna be another beautiful weekend here in New York City. But, I'll hafta wait for the Parks Department to take that winter fence down before I get out there to start doing what we do. I don't honestly know exactly when that's gonna happen. So, try to get some friends together and come to the concert a week from tonight, okay? It's a Friday night, so you guys can all go out afterwards, maybe. Y'know... go into the message boards (Forum) and pick a local place to hang out after the show. Meet up.

I know alot of people are reading this in another part of the country or another part of the world. But, if you live in or around New York, try to get to CAMI HALL next Friday night. We're gonna have some fun.

CAMI HALL is on West 57th Street, right across the street from Carnegie Hall. YES! I still think you'll probably be able to walk right up and get tickets the night of the show. But, just keep checking back here to see if it's getting close to selling out, okay? You can also reserve a place, right now if you want, by putting your name on the list that they keep at the door. (CAMI only seats 200 people.) All you hafta do is click on that thing over there on the right, under the poster that says "Add to Cart". Then, walk up the night of the concert and say your name at the door. Call a friend and make plans to hang out with us. Kickoff the new spring season. Tickets are starting to sell faster today.

Listen, as always... if Dodge and I ever showed up for one of these things and there were 25 people in the audience, we'd have a special night anyway... as long as we have a couple of guitars in the room. Tell some stories. Play a few brand new songs. Never heard before. Play alot of our favorites form previous CDs. Make it up as we go along. Couple of surprises. But, y'know, the more cheeks that fill the seats, the bigger the energy.

I'll be back a little later today to update this thing again. And, I'm gonna stop in the "Forum" (message board) to take care of some important business, too. Maybe I'll see you in there.

But, I hope I see you guys in exactly one week from tonight.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
