Well, another beautiful day in New York City... remember this when everybody starts saying the same thing we say every year as soon as it gets over 80 degrees...

"Wow! It feels like we didn't even have a spring this year! It feels like we just went right from winter to summer!"

It seems to me every year New Yorkers say exactly the same thing. Cracks me up. This whole past week has been a perfect, early spring weather. Get out there! Enjoy it! Remember it!

And, right now... call a friend and make plans to come to the SPRING CONCERT at CAMI HALL in 9 days. About getting tickets for the concert. They are starting to sell faster today. I still think you'll probably be able to walk right up and get tickets the night of the show. But, just keep checking back here to see if it's getting close to selling out, okay? It's a Friday night, so you can plan to make a night of it with your friends. Or, y'know, come by yourself and have a blast. (Lotsa people do.) You can also reserve a place right now by putting your name on the list that they keep at the door. (CAMI only seats 200 people.) All you hafta do is click on that thing over there on the right, under the poster that says "Add to Cart". Then, walk up the night of the concert and say your name at the door.

I'm gonna call Dodger today and kick around some tunes that we might do together.

Gonna be a fun night.

Actually, it's only gonna be a fun night if you have fun hangin' out with me these days. Y'know... we'll sing "Crazy on the Same Day", and we'll sing "OBI", and "Love This Life I'm Livin'", and "People on the Hill", and "Yuppies in the Sky", and we'll sing and laugh together all night. But, you can bet yor ass we're also gonna be singin' songs like "Where'dat Money Go" and "JesusLand".

It's gonna be fun.

I'm gonna consider this concert a night to be in a room with all of you, and get that feeling that we get when that many cool people are in a concert hall together, or on "The Hill" in Central Park... that feeling of... y'know... "It's Just Us".

Today, I'm putting the finishing touches n a couple of new tunes... I hope. But, I've also decided that on Friday night, April 22nd, I'm just gonna try to cram as much music into one night as I ever have. It's actually a good problem to have, when I hafta decided which songs to leave out. (Anything we don't get to... we'll be singing in the park soon enough, though.)

OH YEAH... and the Hudson River Park "Sunset Concert Series" is happenin' again this year!!! But, we'll watch the Sun go down together on Friday evenings instead, okay? So, keep checking back here and I'll let you know when that's gonna start up. Probably in June sometime.

Listen... on a different note, right now go to the "FORUM" (message board) if you are one of those people who are a little bit confused by all the talk about Social Security reform these days. (Y'know, the first, immediate smoke screen to deflect from the fact that the WAR we started in Iraq is going on every day and thousands and thousands of people are dying, hundreds and hundreds last month alone.) In there, I've posted George W. Bush's definitive explanation of his ideas for Social Security.

It's the American president's actual, verbatim explanation. Should clear everything up once and for all... or, emabarrass the fuck out of you if you voted for him!

See you soon.

Hope I see you all at CAMI HALL.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
