Listen, I know alot of people reading this don't live in or around New York City. But, most of you do.

Who lives downtown? In the East Village? In Alphabet City?

I'm gonna do a set tonight at the Alphabet Lounge, on Avenue C. If you're not doin' anything else, come on down and hang. It's a 10:00 set. I'm gonna be interested to see what the crowd is like down there on a Thursday night. Been a while since I've played a gig like this downtown.

Avenue C @ 7th Street

By the way... did you know that the Spring Concert at CAMI HALL is 2 weeks from tomorrow night!? That's gonna be a fun night. I can feel it. It's time to turn things around in this town... attitude wise. It's been a long, mean winter in many ways. I feel like the overwhelmingly intrusive security and feelings around that nasty RNC convention last year, (Remember the way that felt around here?) and the election in November kinda rocked the people of this town. But remember, man! This is New York City! The only truly international city on the planet. New York City is the crossroads of the globe, the Capitol of the World right now... home to Central Park, Broadway, Wall Street, The Empire State Building (King Kong climbed that sucker!), and, some of the most open-minded, Creative, vibrant, tolerant, life-loving, adventurous, thoughtful people in this world. Get a bunch of your friends together and come hang on April 22nd. If you wanna get your name on the list at the door, you can do it right now by clicking on that button over there on the right, under the poster that says "Add to Cart".

Yeah, I know we're getting close to "park weather". But, that damned fence is still up around "The Hill". So, we hafta wait for the Parks Department to take that thing down before we can get out there to the park. CAMI HALL might be a good way to get together and kick off the Spring time and shake off the winter. So, I hope you plan to make it a night. (And, it's a Friday night, so everybody can go out after the concert!) Why not take a minute and call a couple of friends today and see if they wanna come, too. Or, plan on coming by yourself. You'll see all the same faces there that you see in Central Park in the summer. And, a bunch of new ones, too.

Hey listen... again, today... for LATE-BREAKING NEWS on the Pope's condition, you can either turn on your television and watch... well... um, okay... any station! Or, you can just pop into the message board over there. (Forum) I've put a topic in there to make sure you don't miss one detail. White smoke, black smoke, long lines of tourists with camera phones... there's a lot important shit going on. Okay? I personally feel that 24 hour network coverage is simply not enough when something this volatile and rapidly changing is going on. So, for more Pope News, go to the Forum. (I can tell you this, here on the homepage, though. For the past few days, the Pope's condition has been stable.)

Well, that's it for today.

Maybe I'll see you on Avenue C tonight. If not, I'll pobably check into the "Forum" a little later, or I'll see you back here tomorrow.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
