Once again... to all of you who are stopping by from all over the country... welcome.

Thanks, to everyone, for stopping by today. On the radio, if you get something where you live called the "Joey Reynold's Show" on a WOR affiliate, tune in tonight... LATE. (I mean, this is for insomniacs.) It's AM radio and it might actually stream on the computer. But, it's a national show, so look it up if you want.

I'm gonna be his guest tonight, talkin' about "JesusLand" and the new song I'm working on about "Reality TV".

Well... I live in New York City.

Man! I love New York. I love living in this town. I love what I do for a living. I love making music. Y'know, I've never had a record deal... but, that gives me the creative freedom to write what I want and make the CDs I wanna make, and work with the good friends and amazing artists that I do. I've never had a manager, but that gives me the freedom to make and own my mistakes and also enjoy the little successes more personally. This whole "Guitar Man" thing is completely under-the-radar, grassroots... and, at times, a very scary proposition, security-wise. Still all in all, it's a wonderful life. I'm a very lucky man. I love living in New York City.

But, every once in a while I get another dose of perspective.

Last night, I was standing outside a diner on Broadway that my friends and I affectionately call "The Perfect Diner". I was saying goodnight to a good, dear friend when a HUGE flat bed truck pulled up to the red light. On it, was a gigantic section of a pipeline of some kind. Before the light changed and it started moving again, I just belly-laughed outloud, because...

... it's a startling realization when you encounter a piece of underground pipe... that is actually bigger than the apartment you live in.

Anyway... hey... listen, FRIDAY NIGHT!

Concert at CAMI HALL.

You don't hafta get tickets in advance! It looks like there are gonna be plenty of seats if you just wannna show up.

So, just show up, okay? We're gonna have some fun.

Well, we worked out the details. A really fine songwriter in his own right, a guy named Brendan Davies, is gonna RECORD the concert Friday night for inclusion in a proposed satellite radio show. It will also become a Podcast. If you're there in the audience, and you sing loud, YOU WILL BE A PART OF THE SHOW.

I'm gonna sing a whole bunch of different kinds of songs... many of my own songs that I haven't sung in a while. I'm gonna make it up as we go along, but I'm sure we'll get to some James Taylor, Cat Stevens and Beatle covers. And, I'm definitely gonna crank up "JesusLand".

While the vast majority of the email I've gotten about "JesusLand" has been enthusiastically positve, I'm aware that some of you are really annoyed at that song. And, some of you are downright pissed off. (Largely because your taking it the wrong way, or you just don't get it, or... hmmm... maybe it hits too close to home.)

But, that's okay, take it easy. Wait'll you hear the new song I'm working on...

(Oh, relax. I'm kidding.)

.

No, seriously... we're gonna have a good time Friday night.

Hope to see you there.

Maybe I'll see you in the "Forum" (message board) later today. Also, if you think you would like to reserve a place at the concert, you can just ckick on that thing over there on the right, and follow the instructions. Your name will be placed on the list at the door.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
