Yeah, um, if you are reading this, I'm either on my way to the airport, or on a plane, or on a beach... waiting to do my first gig of the week in the open-air theater on the island of Providenciales, in Turks & Caicos. (Yeah, I was just there. They called me back to do another 3 shows.)

I don't have a whole lot goin' on here in town until April, so I figured... y'know, what the hell. These islands are so close to Cuba, I might just see if I can hop a small plane and see what Cuba is about. Maybe meet Castro and have a few words, give him a good talking to... remembering, of course, to thank him for the whole "pull-out convertable sofa" thing.

Anyway, James Marino (webmaster) is gonna pick up the ball and take care of the update on this home-page for the week. You guys can go ahead and keep the "Forum" hoppin' if you want. If you're new here, or reading this in another part of the country or another part of the world... welcome. Take a look around. Look through the "Archives" and see what we've been up to.

My goal on this trip, with the liberal amounts of free time I'm gonna have between gigs, is to start... um... something... one of the several writing projects I've been kicking around for a long time, now. And, hopefully, to come back to New York with at least one new song... maybe more.

Listen... also, we're a still a few weeks, maybe a month or so away from singin' in the park. If you feel like contributing to the "Permit Fund", or to help keep this website running, you can always make a donation by clicking on that "PayPal" button that James has put at the top of this page. THANK YOU!... to everyone who sent a donation already. I'll be in touch with you guys. It lets me know that you all feel this website and "The Hill" are a coule of things in this world that you feel are worthwhile, and are both something you like being a part of.

Thanks.

Oh, and hey!!!

My phone will not work where I am going. But, if you're a friend of mine, or have a business thing, and you reeeealllly need to get in touch with me... I WILL BE CHECKING MY EMAIL EVERYDAY!

Okay?

Also, in the meantime, here's something fun! And, it's absolutely FOR FREE! Give a listen to the new song "JesusLand". If you feel like it you can download it for yourself and pass it on to all your friends. I want the whole country to have it... for FREE!

MP3 of Jesusland! Click to download or play.

I had a lot of fun writing this song, and I've really enjoyed all of the feedback, both positive and negative, I'm getting about it. Keep it comin'!

Looking forward to seeing you all at the gigs in April, especially at the next concert in CAMI HALL on April 22.

Okay... I'm outta here.

Be cool.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
