Hey... just got word!

Martha Stewart belched!

Did you see it on the news!?

.

.

.

(sigh) You will.

.

.

Sorry for the slightly late update today. I've got a new lyric that seems to want to write itself in the morning. So, I was kinda hangin' out with it, while it tries to tell me what it wants to say. Kinda cool. Something about "The Present Good".

Um... if you are new here, or reading this in another part of the country or the world... welcome. Take a look around. And, if you haven't done it yet, give a listen to the new song "JesusLand". If you feel like it you can download it for yourself and pass it on to all your friends. I want the whole country to have it... for FREE!

Here.

Anyway... hey, did anybody see The Daily Show last night!? They opened with a clip of George W. Bush standing beside his new CIA chief, Porter Goss. It was hysterical... kinda! Bush says, "Every day we're making progress... to uh... to finding... uh... Osama bin Laden..."

And, Mr. Goss turns his head and looks at Bush with the most astonished look on his face. I mean, his eyebrows shoot skyward, he rolls his eyes and smirks as if he's about to laugh. I swear, I didn't know what to make of it, except that I bust out laughing and instantly said to myself, "This ain't funny."

Oh well. Listen, Comedy Central will air last night's show again today at 7:00 pm. So, if you get a chance, catch it. It happens right at the top of the show.

Well, I spoke with James Marino about the concert at CAMI HALL, and he thinks it would be a good idea to make it a regular series of concerts... y'know, maybe with a different theme for each one. Why don't you guys let us know what you think of that idea.

I guess it won't be too long until we're all hangin' out by the lake in Central Park. Although, I did get a call from the New York City Parks Department yesterday afternoon and there seems to be a little confusion about the permits again. Maybe it's because of the switch to Saturday. I'm gonna try to straighten that out today. Don't worry. It'll be cool.

By the way... I'm gonna be starting the annual "Permit-Fund Drive" next week. If you love hanging out with us in Central Park and you wanna help with the cost of the permits and batteries and stuff... I'll let you know how you can help next week, okay?

Anyway, not all that much going on today. I'm gonna kick around the radio show a little bit. Frank Beacham and Brendan Davies and I will probably get together this week on that project. I'll let you know how you can be involved in that project, too. We plan to record alot of it on location.

Listen, maybe I'll see you in the "Forum" later on today.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
