Before I get to whatever we're gonna talk about today, I wanna let you know a couple of things. (Oh by the way, yesterday's post about George W. Bush is still available to read in the "Forum". Somebody started a thread and so I stuck it in there.)

Anyway, yep... it's official.

We're gonna get together for another concert at CAMI HALL.

I had a thought for everyone who was there at the last concert and had a good time. (Well, actually, if you didn't have a good time, you're probably not reading this!) But, if you had fun at that concert and feel like getting together again before the real warm weather gets here, plan on coming to CAMI HALL on April 22, okay? But, here's the thing...

See if you can bring a few people with you who've never been to one of these concerts, or never been to "The Hill" in Central Park. CAMI HALL is a great old theater space. We'll sing and tell some more stories. Imagine how much more fun it'll be if we pack the place! Mark it on your calendar and start talking to your friends abbout it, now. I've got a few new songs I'm working on for that night... but, I wanna sing a whole lot of my older songs that I haven't played in a long time.

What else for today?

Oh, oh yeah... if you feel like it, you can hit that PayPal button up there and help support this website and the Saturday afternoons in Central Park this summer. Like PBS... we're supported by "viewers like you." (Oh, you know what I mean. It just helps with the weekly "Sound Device" permits, the batteries and the cost of running the website.)

THANKS TO YOU GUYS WHO'VE ALREADY HELPED OUT AND MADE A DONATION! YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!

Moving on...

So, EVERYBODY! If you haven't done it yet, give a listen to the new song "JesusLand". If you feel like it you can download it for yourself and pass it on to all your friends. I want the whole country to have it... for FREE!

Here.

MP3 of Jesusland! Click to download or play.

By the way... if you're new here... um... I'm not a country artist. If you're here from another part of the country or another part of the world and this is your first time here, take a listen to some of the other songs besides "JesusLand", okay? I just had to write that particular song in the country genre. But, I write all kindsa stuff.

So...

.

Well, for one thing, I'm still talking to the people over at Hudson River Park about the "Sunset Concert Series". Y'know, the last two summers, they were held on Saturday nights. But, I'll be playing in Central Park on Saturday afternoons this summer and I don't think it would be possible to play for 5 or 6 hours in Central Park, and then zip down to HRP for another gig. So, I'll see if they can move those concerts to Sunday night or... I don't know.

Hudson River Park is a great gig and the people who run it are great! But, Central Park has gotta come first. It's my home.

What else?

Okay, yeah. If you're watching the "news"... (Ha! I love using that term for whatever it is CNN and the networks are doing these days.)

Anyway, if you're watching the (ahem) news and you get all you need to know about a guy who went crazy in the courthouse in Atlanta, and you have it confirmed that Michael Jackson wore pajama pants to the courthouse, (Is it just me or is he a little odd? Ah, probably just me.) And, if you're absolutely sure that Martha Stewart is adjusting to life in a mansion... um...

... uh... John R. Bolton was named by Bush to be... hehehe... our ambassador to the Untied Nations this week. (I'll get into that tomnorrow maybe. It's kinda hysterical, actually.) But, in the meantime, Sunni insurgents are killing Shi'ite civilians in Iraq by the hundreds, trying to insight civil war. Several more American soldiers died this week, two young men from England were killed in the fighting yestreday, the number killed in last Thursday's bomb attack is up to 50, and... um... uh...

...y'know that war we started?

.

.

I know it's not good television this season, but it's going on today.

.

.

Right now, in fact.

Got some more songs to write.

Whatever you're doing today, y'know... be nice to each other. Really enjoy your family and friends. Man! Really have fun being cool to each other. I'm starting my day of with gratitude and excitement for whatever's next in this adventure of a life.

But, keep it in mind when the stars of the news media don't.

We started a war in Iraq... and, it's still going on.

Maybe I'll stop into the "Forum" later.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
