I'm back in town.
I had a wonderful week in the British West Indies.
But, damn! I love New York!
It was a great week in so many ways... but, also in some ways that I might not have expected. I feel like I learned a lot... met a bunch of really wonderful people, but also met a few people I would be very content not to meet again. I worked out everyday and ran miles and miles on the white beaches along a sea of water so turquoise it didn't seem real. I wrote a little, but not all that much. I played music for people with gentle, smilng faces and shining eyes.
But, more than anything, I got another dose of what a lucky man I am... how fortunate I am to have the people in my life that I do, how much I love doing what I do for a living, and how much I love living in this town with the genuine, real, upfront, vital, caring, passionate people here.
I love calling New York City my home.
And, the beautiful Spring weather is finally arriving. So, we'll be singin' in Central Park on Saturday afternoons in no time. Maybe a few weeks. In the meantime... we've got the concert coming up at CAMI HALL on April 22. (I'm kinda hoping a whole bunch of really great people that I met down south will show up and have a good time with us. Oughta be a blast.)
And, yes, I also saw it mentioned in the message board (Forum) that people were wondering if I'm gonna do a smaller gig at Fourth U this coming Sunday evening.
Yes.
We're just not gonna advertise it in a mass email because we really don't wanna draw away from the bigger concert we're gonna do at CAMI HALL. So, I'm mentioning it here. If you feel like it, this Sunday I will be at Fourth U on Central Park West @ 76th Street to do a more intimate night of music.
Then, April 22nd at CAMI HALL, I'm gonna do the final concert of the winter season. New songs... a few new stories...
Hmmmm. Listen, I gotta get to the re-entry process, y'know? Laundry... a good cup of coffee at the perfect New York diner, that kinda thing.
Maybe I'll update this thing a little later today. If not I'll see you here again tomorrow morning.
And, you guys from Turks & Caicos... Thank You. Take a look around, go back through the "Archives" and see what we've been up to around here. Jump into the "Forum" and say "Hey". There are people from all over the country and all over the world that are hittin' this website these days.
Hope I see you at the CAMI concert or before.
Everybody... thanks again.
