Must See TV

Tonight... I would feel really great if every person reading this today, no matter where in the country or where in the world you are, could take an hour tonight at 9:00 and watch a program.... on PBS... called...

"Rumsfeld's War"

Tonight, 9:00pm
(CHANNEL 13 in New York) ... or your local PBS station.

With the United States Army deployed in a dozen hot spots around the world, on constant alert in Afghanistan, and taking casualties every day in Iraq, some current and former officers now say the army is on the verge of being 'broken.' They charge that the army is overstretched, demoralized, and may be unable to fight where and when the nation desires. FRONTLINE and the Washington Post join forces for an in-depth assessment of the state of the American army and the nation's military establishment. The program digs into the aggressive attempts by Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and his allies to assert civilian control and remake the military.

Y'know... let's look at what is being callled "Must See TV" these days.

The Apprentice, Survivor, Fear Factor, American Idol, Rodney, According to Jim, Dr. Phil's Primetime Special... you get the idea.

Take an hour, okay? Make a cup of tea, or pour a glass of soda, fire up a bowl of popcorn and sit down and watch this program, okay? Then maybe you can all talk about it in the "Forum" tomorrow.

That's the plug for today.

Anyway... listen, if you haven't done it yet, James (webmaster) has made it easy for you to listen to, or download, the new song "JesusLand" right here at the website for free for a while. (It'll be going to iTunes soon.)

MP3 of Jesusland! Click to download or play.

And, he also made it super easy to make a reservation for the next concert that's coming up in two and a half weeks. FRIDAY NIGHT, MARCH 4th... I'm gonna be appearing at CAMI Hall on West 57th Street. Just click on that thing over there on the right and reserve a seat for you and your friends today. But, I gotta tell you... there are only 170 seats in CAMI Hall. So, it's a lot more intimate than Merkin Concert Hall where I played last December. (450 seats) So, try to reserve 'em this week, okay?.

I'll be doing "JesusLand" for sure, as well as songs like...

Common Ground
Crazy on the Same Day
Where'dat Money Go
People on the Hill
Tired of Being Lied To
My Morning Coffee
Where's the Voice
Talk louder (Cell Phone Song)

...and, maybe a few new ones.

We'll just do what we always do.

Oh yeah, but there's been a little confusion about this... when you reserve a spot for that concert, you don't get tickets in the physical sense. Instead, you're name is automatically placed on the "guest" list. So, all you hafta do is show up that night and give your name at the door. The seating is general admission.

Okay?

So...

.

KEEP PASSING THE NEW SONG AROUND! Send people the link today, okay? Tell 'em it's free, but all they have to do is pass it to a few more people themselves. That's what grassroots is all about!

(I actually have a little plan for that "JesusLand". I'll let you know a few willing participants who want to help about the plan as soon as the song is uploaded to iTunes, okay?

Hope I see you at CAMI Hall in a few weeks.

Thanks again

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
