I'm back. Refreshed, recharged, and ready to get to work again.

Hey, if you're new here, take a look around. If you're reading this in another part of the country or another part of the world... welcome.

Just got back from a gig on Turks & Caicos in the British West Indies. Y'know, I realize that every day of my life, every moment is unparalled by any other moment... and, each day that I really "pay attention", my spirit grows and every day I am a slightly different person, different artist, different man than I was the day before. But every once in a while, a subtle yet slightly more powerful change happens. I feel that today.

I feel as if I've let go of another dump truck load of fear and uncertainty about the work I'm doing and the music that I'm writing these days. Feels good.

Feels really good.

(I guess spending a week on a Caribbean Island doesn't hurt, hah?)

Listen, if you haven't done it yet, James (webmaster) has made it easy for you to listen to, or download, the new song "JesusLand" right here at the website for free for a while. (It'll be going to iTunes soon.)

MP3 of Jesusland! Click to download or play.

And, he also made it super easy to make a reservation for the next concert that's coming up in two and a half weeks. FRIDAY NIGHT, MARCH 4th... I'm gonna be appearing at CAMI Hall on West 57th Street. Just click on that thing over there on the right and reserve a seat for you and your friends today. But, I gotta tell you... there are only 170 seats in CAMI Hall. So, it's a lot more intimate than Merkin Concert Hall where I played last December. (450 seats) So, try to reserve 'em this week, okay?.

I'll be doing "JesusLand" for sure, as well as songs like...

Crazy on the Same Day
Where'dat Money Go
People on the Hill
Tired of Being Lied To
My Morning Coffee
Where's the Voice
Talk louder (Cell Phone Song)

...and, maybe a few new ones.

We'll just do what we always do.

Oh yeah, but listen... when you reserve a spot for that concert, you don't get tickets in the physical sense. Instead, you're name is automatically placed on the "guest" list. So, all you hafta do is show up that night and give your name at the door. The seating is general admission.

Okay?

So...

.

Well, The People had better start really speaking Truth to power, and I'll try to keep writing it and singing it... remembering that politics is downstream from culture and NOT the other way around. We'll have fun and feel good doing it. I want to do my own little part to wake this country up to the dangerous people in Washington DC these days. C'mon, hands down George W. Bush is the most embarrassing, the closest to illiterate, and the worst president this country has ever seen. But, even more than that... I would love to use my music to shine just a little light on the danger of the corporate takeover and consolidation of the media in this country... the kind of situation that gives us closed minded fear-driven assholes like Sean Hannity, bombastic hypocrites like Rush Limbaugh, and the slightly deranged phonies like Bill O'Reilly.

(Betcha I'm not gonna get a Christmas card from those guys, hah?)

Anyway... we'll just see what's next... together, okay? And, if you dig "JesusLand", send it to as many people as you can. Post it in message boards. Send the link to people at radio stations and newspapers. Send it to your friends... send it to people you don't like. Keep passing it around.

Cool?

Hope I see you in New York City on Friday night, March 4th.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
