Thanks for stopping by today.

Got a lot of cool stuff coming up... and, today I have some news about a significant change at "The Hill" in Central Park this summer.

First, it's the last Monday of the month, so I hope I see a bunch of you at the SGA Songwriters Circle tonight. (It's FREE.) We crank up at The Red Lion, Bleecker & Thompson, 7:00 - 9:00

Then... Thursday night, I'm gonna do a gig with my buddy, Roger Bartlett, over on the Eastside, at a place called Sessions 73. (First Ave @ 73rd Street) We're gonna play from 8:00 to 11:00. Oughta be very cool. Hope you East side people come out and hang with us.

Okay... the NEWS. (And, I'd like to hear from you guys about it.) I got a call from the Director of Operations over in Central Park on Friday. We're moving the casual concerts on "the Hill" to...

SATURDAY AFTERNOONS this year.

I'll elaborate on the move tomorrow, okay? Y'know, how that affects the Saturday night "Sunset Concert Series" in Hudson River Park and whatnot. But, that's the way it stands right now. After all these years, I'll be playing on Saturday afternoon instead of Sunday.

Hmmm... change.

What else... oh yeah, tomorrow Dodger and I are gonna do the final mix on the new single, "JesusLand". Hopefully, it'll be ready to go to itunes by the end of the week. (But first, for a while, I think we'll make it available free for you guys here at the website.)

So...

.

.

Well, I have a few thoughts about the Iraqi election. (So, what else is new!?) I'll probably post them in the "Forum" a little later today. I have a song-demo to record for a colleague today and that's gonna take some time. But, as you guys know, I have some definite feelings about the events of the past few years and today is no different. I'd like to hear your thoughts as well. Maybe I'll see you in the "Forum" later.

Listen, as always, if you're reading this in another part of the country, or another part of the world... welcome. Take a look around the site. Jump into the "Forum" over there and get to know some of the regulars in the message board. But, if you're in or around New York City, try to make plans with your friends to come to the next, big concert on March 4th.

March 4th! There is a great little venue on 57th Street, right across from Carnegie Hall... it's called Columbia Artists Management (CAMI) Hall. The next big indoor concert of the season is gonna be there on Friday Night, March 4th. You can get tickets today, just by clicking on that button over there that says "Buy Now". (Actually, you don't get tickets in the physical sense. You click on that thing, follow the instructions, and your name is automatically added to the "Guest" list. Just show up that night and give them your name at the door.) Very cool.

I'll definitely be doing songs like...

"Crazy on the Same Day"
"Just Hafta Trust Me"
"Where'dat Money Go"
"City Song"

...and the new song, "JesusLand".

There's only 170 seats in CAMI HALL, so get your tickets sooner than later, okay?

That's about it for today. Oh yeah... a plug!

I'm reading a wonderful book, written by a collection of people with wonderful minds and spirits. It's called, "What We Do Now".

It's in paperback. It's only $12.

Get it and read it.

Then, we'll go into the "Forum" and talk about it. It's a collection of short-but-powerful essays and articles. It's easily digestible and very informative and inspiring.

cool?

Okay, see you later.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
