Well... now, thank you, Ed Grimm.
I read your letter this morning in the New York Times.
(I'm just a very lucky man. Thank you.)
And... Wednesday's Times article was very cool. I gotta thank Mr. Berger for mentioning us. (And, Victor for telling him about us.)
The coolest part for me was the map, though.
Wow. Hey, listen... I'm gonna head to the park tomorrow to sing with you guys. But, I want everyone to know... as far as I'm concerned, "Slapgate 2003" is over. (I was kidding, for crying out loud! I don't slap people!) It's not something to get upset over, and it's not something that is gonna be a big problem unless we make it a problem. I'm almost (ALMOST) sorry I said anything. I will continue to love it when kids sing and dance with me. But, I will speak to the parents when their kids cross the line and become distracting to myself and the people who want to listen to the music. I'm sure they just don't think. Now, if someone is speaking loudly near you, (Ahhh, the cell-phone-song!) or their dog is running around you, or their kids are playing on your blanket, and it's distracting to you... that's up to you. But, be nice, okay?
Everybody... be nice.
I've got a few new songs this year, and one I'm working on today that I've gotta teach you guys. Oughta be pretty cool.
See you in the park.
Thanks again.
