See you guys tonight, I hope.
I've got a brand new song I'm gonna put in the show. And, I'm gonna pull an old parody out of the attic.
But, y'know, of course I'm hoping you all wanna sing "Crazy on the Same Day", "Who the Hell Knows?", "I Can't Wait", "OBI", "Justa Hafta Trust Me", "City Song" and all of the others... with me... LOUD.
Try to get down there tonight if you can. (If you're not one of those people who is staying home to watch the final episode of "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer") It's gonna be a good time.
Listen... there is a little buzz goin' on about this show. You can be part of something really cool if you can make it tonight. Y'see, this just might be the last time I'm gonna be telling the story of how the whole "Guitar Man from Central Park" thing got started 12 years ago. There is talk about maybe doing something with this show, but well... y'know... who the hell knows?
So... right here.... I'm gonna give you a "password" that I swear the producer of the show is clueless about. Okay? (Ssshhhhhh.) Like in the park.....
If you walk up to the box office and say, "People on the Hill" you get in for half price tonight. (It's normally $20.) But say, "People on the Hill" and it's only $10 for you, and any friends you bring... and you still get a free drink before the show or at intermission... y'know beer, wine, cocktail, soda... um... really, good water...
I'm serious. Me and Brit, in the box office, did this before.
Also... if you can bring at least one friend who's never been to Central Park and has no idea what any of this is about, it would be a big help because a part of this great, creative experiment is workshopping this idea in front of a new audience.
I hope you can plan to be there with some friends tonight. It oughta be fun.
... thanks again.
