Sorry for the late update.

Tough getting started today. And, Blogger was having a bad day.

Anyway, I hope everyone found that inner smile the other day. Pull it out again if you can. I know somedays it's harder than others... especially, nowadays. But, y'know... "When in the course of human events...".

I guess we're just in an extremely unfortunate and sad part of the course of human events. We'll be okay. For today, I'm re-committing myself, as best I can, to a kind of "Anne Frank" philosophy. That young girl said...

"In spite of everything, I still really believe people are good at heart."

If this songwriter would change a word of that beautiful statement to make it my own, it would simply be this...

"In spite of everything, I still believe MOST people are really good at heart."

'Most' is a good word. Most is really very, very good news. I have experienced people who, simply, are not "good at heart." There are people walking through this world who are just selfish and mean. I believe that's a fact. But, I can say with every ounce of love in me, that "most people are really good at heart."

That's good news for me. I hope that's good news for you, too. Hope I see you in the park, or down at the SoHo Playhouse very soon.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
