Sorry for no update yesterday. The Blogger thing wouldn't let me connect for some reason.
So, one day late, I'll thank all of you who showed up at The SoHo Playhouse on Tuesday night. I gotta say... because I'm trying different things each night, I'm finding out that some things feel a whole lot better than others. That's just part of this creative process, and I'm glad so many of you are coming down to be a part of this thing we're developing down there. It's kinda fun, isn't it?
If you haven't been there, yet... here's the deal. It kicks off at 7:30... well, the doors open at 7:00, and there's a bar area where you guys can have a FREE drink and hang out. Then, the music starts at 7:30 upstairs in this 200 seat theater. Then, afterwards, you can all go back down stairs and hang out for a little while. It's really very cool. And, next Tuesday... anybody who shows up is gonna get to bring home a FREE " That Guitar Man in SoHo" poster. (Or, 10 of 'em if you want.) We're gonna ask people to help us out, hanging them around town in their favorite diner, coffee shop, deli, bar or bookstore.... that kinda thing. But, I'm tellin' ya, the first couple of nights down there have been really fun... and, for weeknight, y'know, it's an early gig. Why not plan on comin' down next Tuesday when this cold-spell breaks. If you feel like it, come by yourself and make some new friends.
Also, just for the hell of it, find someone with a cable modem or DSL, if you don't have one yourself, and check out the very first installment of "David Radio" over there on the right. (Maybe I'll call it... R-TGM... Radio-That Guitar Man) James has done another amazing thing. He really is riding the crest of the wave that is the future of the music business and the future for truly, independent artists like me.
I'll probably spend a good part of today working on a new play I'm writing, and also get to work on next week's installment of R-TGM. This all very cool stuff.
Please you guys... keep in touch, and try to get down to the Playhouse next week.
Thanks again.
