Well... maybe I'll share some thoughts on 2002 tomorrow. Just don't feel like it today. If you guys have any thoughts on 2002, you might post 'em in the Forum.
I've gotta say this outloud. You have no idea how amazing Jo is when it comes to handling, organizing and making ANY kind of sense out of the enormous amount of e-mail I get here. She forwards some that I should answer... (although I'm waaaay behind again.) ...and files some and answers some. And, we just had a slight debacle where an awful lot of people tried to click on something to watch the video form the concert... but, clicked the "unsubscribe" button instead... then wrote back saying they wanted to subscribe again. (Something wasn't very clear on our end or so many people wouldn't have done the same thing.) I mean, alot of you all did the same thing. So, Jo went back and asked each person if they unsubscribed unintentionally, and most of them said they had no idea. So, listen... if you don't get an e-mail before the end of the year... THEN YOU DID THE SAME THING!
Jo working to straighten the whole thing out, and she's getting an awful lot of help from two great guys... James Marino and David Marcus. (You can catch David and a lady-friend getting down to "Twist and Shout" in the concert video. You won't spot James, 'cause he shot the video! But, maybe you'll see yourself.)
In the meantime, it's time for me to look toward the next thing, musically... which is the SoHo Playhouse, starting January 14. I don't know exactly what those nights are gonna look like, yet. But just this week, I started to get a really good feeling about the whole thing. I think they're gonna start out very simply, with some storytelling and a really intimate atmosphere. If you're looking for something to do every Tuesday night, think about coming down to Van Dam Street and hanging out. The doors will open at 7:00 and you can have a free drink in the lounge downstairs, and then the music will start in the theater, upstairs, at around 7:30. I'll just make it up as we go along every week, but each night after the music ends, unlike Central Park, you'll be able to go back downstairs and hang out... pretty cool, hah?
Anyway, thanks for everything... talk to you tomorrow.
