Well... I'm not moving this week... well... maybe...
AHHHH!!! LANDLORDS!!!!!!!
Man, I'm glad I don't do that kinda thing for a living. Anyway, ultimately it's a blip on the radar screen. Everything's gonna work out fine, eventually.
Last night I had another unplugged, vocal rehearsal with Roger, Joyce, Gloria, and Nelson. Neal sat in and took some mpeg files of the session. (Technology is just moving soooo fast these days.) Things are tightening up and we're having alot of fun with the music. These kids are so great to play with.
Remember, tomorrow evening after work, 6:30... (especially if you work downtown near the World Financial Center.)
I'm gonna be playing in the "Rewarding Lives Annie Leibovitz Exhibit" in the lobby of 3 World Financial Center; The American Express Tower, right across the street from the World Trade Center site (corner of Vesey and West St.). The exhibit features more than 70 portraits taken by Annie Leibovitz that will be auctioned in December to raise money of the arts in Lower Manhattan. But, the wild part is the exhibit design - it's all set up in seven 3-dimensional organic exhibit sculptures with the photos arranged in theatrically lit pods...you really have to see this to get the full impact. It's trippy. I will actually be playing on a riser in the biggest pod that they've nicknamed the bandshell. Hope you got the e-mail about it.
If you're not doing anything tomorrow evening after work, why not stop by. It'll be good to see you guys now that it's too cold in Central Park.
Also!!! Tickets are gonna be on sale this week... all week... at Merkin Hall for the December 19th Show, and I was just told that there are still really good seats in the balcony and in the orchestra. Give them a call this week (212) 501-3330 if you think you wanna come to that concert. Those year-end shows are a blast. I'm really looking forward to this one.
Gotta go... thanks for everything.
