Harry Potter Weekend II...
Well, we went to see "Harry" at Loews at 68th and B'way. (Or, as I call it, "The Mother Ship")
Really well done. And, in my opinion, a finer film than the first. Casting, direction, continuity... all a notch above the first film. But, man! Parents... don't bring kids under 10 or 11 to see this film. I mean, do yourselves a favor 'cause... it's pretty scary stuff. Y'know, the stuff little nightmares are made of.
Anyway, okay listen... how many of you work dowtown near the World Financial Center?
Here's the thing...
This Wednesday Nov 20 6:30 - 7:30P - I'm gonna be playing in the "Rewarding Lives Annie Leibovitz Exhibit" in the lobby of 3 World Financial Center; The American Express Tower, right across the street from the World Trade Center site (corner of Vesey and West St.). The exhibit features more than 70 portraits taken by Annie Leibovitz that will be auctioned in December to raise money of the arts in Lower Manhattan. But, the wild part is the exhibit design - it's all set up in seven 3-dimensional organic exhibit sculptures with the photos arranged in theatrically lit pods...you really have to see this to get the full impact. It's trippy. I will actually be playing on a riser in the biggest pod that they've nicknamed the bandshell. We'll send out an email about it on Monday.
If you're not doing anything Wednesday evening after work, why not stop by. It'll be good to see you guys now that it's too cold in Central Park.
Well, whatever you're doing today... have fun, okay?
