I'm gonna say, right here and now, that there is a really cool woman out there named Susan. When I asked... I think last week... if there was anyone who had any creative ideas about media and stuff, well, she jumped all over it and sent in a link to that new Wayne Brady Show (They're looking for street musicians to do guest spots.) ...and another link to that woman who replaced Rosie O'Donnell... Caroline Rhea. I mean, I don't know that anything fun would ever come from either one, but it's cool to think that there's someone out there willing to jump on an idea. Very cool, Susan. Thanks.

I'm gonna be back in town late tomorrow afternoon. Then, we've got a rehearsal on Monday with the band. I'm really diggin' playing with these guys. Everything is so loose and easy, but they've all got such amazing chops that things are sounding tighter and tighter in only two times together.

Gonna also check the box office at Merkin to see how the tickets are going, so I can give you a heads up this week... y'know, if you plan on coming to the next concert with a bunch of people, and you all wanna sit together.

Anyway... thanks again. It looks like the high temperature is not gonna get outta the 50's this weekend. (They're calling for 59º as the high tomorrow.) So, I'd say that about wraps it up in Central Park for this year. (Man! 11 years!) Anyway, thanks again for an amazing summer. I love doing what I do with you guys. I've said this before, "If you all don't keep showing up, then I'm just another idiot with a guitar." What we do out there is something special... something that I really love... in the greatest city in the world. So, thank you.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
