Wow, man... thanks for yesterday.
I said it out there in the park. Y'know, I play different gigs around town now and then, and I usually have a great time... no matter where I am with a guitar on my shoulder. But, I always look forward to getting back to you all on "The Hill" in Central Park. It's my musical home. The music flows there. I wanna share stories and laughs with you there. I feel safe there. It's just an amazing thing for me to show up, and to see all you guys come out to spend the day with me... every week. And, people from all over the country and the world. I'm SUCH lucky man.
Listen, I'm gonna call Merkin Concert Hall and Jim Hedleston today and see what's up with the tickets for the December show. I'll try to let you all know tomorrow when they're gonna be available. (Only because people are ALREADY asking.)
I'm also speaking with guy named Dana who might be interested in producing a weekly or semi-weekly concert series over the winter. I can't give you the name of the theater just yet, but it's a 200 seat house in SoHo, and we were talking about, maybe, doing a show every couple of weeks... very informal, like"The Hill"... maybe with the guys in the band, too. Maybe, like $20 bucks at the door and maybe you could bring your own sandwiches or something. I don't know. We're just gonna kick around the idea. We could maybe run the thing through those dark cold months of January to March.
Just a thought.
Would you guys feel like showing up for something like that over the winter?
