Well, yesterday I told you that we would send you all an e-mail to let you know that the tickets for the December 19th show just went on sale. That was the big announcement for yesterday. But, the message never went out...

...um, sorry.

This stuff is more complicated than it looks. (Actually, to me, it looks like the inner workings of the Space Shuttle.)

But, anyway... those tickets are on sale at the box office (212) 501-3330. I'll try to send an e-mail out again sometime today, maybe. (We just may have to move servers, afterall.)

I'm getting an awful lot of really nice comments on through that "Contact" section... from all over the country and the world. It's a very cool thing. Actually, I'm getting more messages from far away than from here in New York City. I guess people from around the world just like to feel close to New York. I found that to be true in the days immediately following September 11th last year. This website was inundated with messages of compassion and grief from countries I didn't even know were countries... maybe in part, because it was the only connection so many people had to this town. I don't think you New Yorkers realize how much you all affect the people that come here to visit. They invariably tell me they were amazed, and surprised, and delighted at the cool people they met here. It is never what they expected. And, they seem to want to keep in touch.

Anyway, I feel very lucky to be their connection sometimes. I just wanna pass it onto you guys so that you know, too. Maybe, down the road, the message boards in the "Forum" section will get goin' in an international way. Maybe, down the road, we'll put up a place wwhere I can post some of the most touching, thoughtful and thought-provoking e-mails I get. There are so many. Again, it's a very cool thing.

Anyway, I'll be in the park this Sunday. But, I'll check back here before then.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
